Kirby Medical Center Celebrates National Radiologic Technology Week!
National Radiologic Technology Week is November 3 – 9, 2024! During this week, we want to recognize the crucial role that medical imaging professionals play in patient care and healthcare safety at Kirby.
Our radiology technologists are highly trained professionals who specialize in imaging the body to diagnose illnesses and injuries. They work closely with physicians, using their expertise to capture detailed images that assist in making accurate diagnoses. But their responsibilities go far beyond just taking pictures. These professionals are also essential in ensuring the safety of patients during imaging procedures. They maintain and operate complex imaging equipment, carefully position patients, and use precise doses of radiation to minimize exposure.
Kirby radiology technologists play a pivotal role in the patient care journey. Their skills and compassion make a significant difference in the lives of the patients they serve, offering comfort and reassurance during what can often be stressful procedures.
Let’s take this week to appreciate the knowledge, dedication, and compassion that our radiologic technologists bring to KMC every single day. Their work is a vital part of the healthcare system, and their commitment to patient care and safety truly deserves recognition.
