October is NATIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY MONTH!
Physical therapists are movement experts who optimize quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education.
Enjoy some fun facts about physical therapy and get to know our team…
*Physical Therapy, though initiated in the 1920, really began to boom during the nationwide polio epidemic in the 1940s and 50s.
*Currently, all physical therapist education programs are 3-year post-baccalaureate DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) programs.
**KMC currently employs 7 physical therapists and 5 physical therapy assistants, with various specialties and interests including aquatics (ATRIC), women’s health, vestibular, LSVT Big and Loud (Parkinson’s treatment), active release technique (ART), McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT), and more.
