Join Kirby Ambulance for a BLS CPR Certification class on July 31, 2024 from 5-9pm. Class will take place in the Community Outreach Room at Kirby Medical Center in Monticello. 

Who should take this course?

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. After completion, they will be licensed for 2 years.

Training includes:

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• Important early use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Other class information:

• $35 fee. Payment will be collected at the class. Exact cash or check will be accepted. Please make checks out to Kirby Medical Center.
• Wear comfortable clothes.
• Registration is required. Space is limited to 18 participants.
